Jackie is a generalist who has covered some of the biggest stories in recent years, including the manhunt for two B.C. murder suspects, the arrest of a Chinese Huawei executive in Vancouver, the legalization of cannabis, the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the devastating Humboldt Broncos bus crash, Canada’s opioid crisis, the Bruce McArthur murders, and the presidency of Donald Trump.
Before joining CTVNews.ca in 2016, Jackie worked as a presentation producer and chase producer for the network’s 24-hour news channel for more than three years.
As a presentation producer, she was responsible for gathering video and graphic elements for interviews. She also pitched stories, booked and pre-interviewed guests, and wrote scripts in her role as a chase producer.
Jackie obtained a Bachelor of Arts in history from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ont. before graduating from Centennial College’s post-graduate journalism program where she worked as a managing editor for the school newspaper.
She speaks English.
